info on personal tuition

Online teaching via Skype screen sharing technology. Genres cover house, techno, tech house, progressive house, deep house, breaks, acid, chillout & downtempo.  It may be you only need a few hours to cover some specific points of production, improving your mixdowns, choice of sounds etc, or would like more comprehensive tuition.

By face to face discussion with the use of Skype's screen sharing technology, you will be able to see and hear everything on the tutors computer. Teaching is based around Ableton Live 9 and covers details of composition, from construction of drum parts, percussion, bass, leads, spot fx, pads, and vocals,  to using VST processors and effects racks,  arranging and mixing. Also covered are some advanced tricks in Ableton, sequencer optimisation,  and getting the most out of the software to improve your workflow to create great music quickly and consistently.

The focus is based on what you want to achieve and is pitched at your level of experience. Learning is not necessarily genre specific and by the end you will have composed, arranged and mixed a full track in your chosen style. As well as learning Ableton, you will also achieve a thorough understanding of common production techniques such as sound design and synthesis, sampling, drum programming, compression, EQ, Delays, Reverbs and many commonly used effects. The art of preparing a premaster is also covered

If you do not use Ableton Live that's ok, it can be used to demonstrate a broad based approach, and cover general concepts of digital music production
